Dylan
Dylan originally arrived at Ty Nant Cat Sanctuary in May 2025 after being left behind when his owners moved away. He had been straying for years before he was finally taken into care. Dylan then came to Many Tears in November 2025, where he has lived with us as a barn cat ever since.
Recently, Dylan was sadly hit by a car, which resulted in him needing to have one of his legs amputated. He has adapted surprisingly well and, since his accident, has been accepting of fuss and gentle handling. We feel this lovely old boy now deserves the chance to enjoy a quieter life in a peaceful, rural retirement home.
Dylan will need to be kept indoors for the first six weeks while he settles in and gets used to his new surroundings. After this, he would like safe outdoor access so he can enjoy pottering around and having some freedom again.
Dylan also has an old eye injury, which is likely to have been caused by an old ulcer that ruptured the eye. Thankfully, it is now healed and does not appear to be causing him any pain.
Dylan has had a difficult journey and has had to adapt to some big changes, but he has shown us just how well he can cope. We hope that someone will give this special boy the peaceful retirement home he deserves, where he can enjoy his days in comfort, security and with plenty of gentle fuss.
