Benji
13-10-26 Benji is a beautiful, playful boy who originally came into our care as an unclaimed dog in 2024. He was adopted into a home but has unfortunately been returned to us due to his anxiety when out of the home. He struggles with being around other dogs and travelling, but he was very happy and comfortable once he was at home.
Benji is not keen on other dogs and is currently kennelled alone. He would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where he can enjoy all the attention, settle into a routine more easily and build a strong bond with his new family.
As Benji has lived in a home before, he is house trained, walks on a lead and is familiar with the sights and sounds of home life. His adopters will need to understand that he can find the outside world and travelling stressful, so he will need a patient family who can help him feel more comfortable and work with him at his own pace.
Benji could share his home with older, dog-savvy children who can understand that he will need a gentle, quiet introduction to his new surroundings, as well as his own space to settle in.
He has been castrated and had nasal wedge surgery with us back in 2024.
Benji is a lovely boy who has shown that he can be happy and relaxed in a home environment. We hope he finds a family who will understand his anxieties, appreciate his playful personality and give him the time and security he needs to feel at home again.
