Petal
30-09-26 Petal is a super friendly girl who has come into our care from a breeder.
She is full of fun in her kennel and will happily jump all over us for attention. Petal loves nothing more than sitting on a comfy lap and enjoys being handled and fussed. Once she is away from her kennel friends, however, she becomes much more shut down and relies on their company for comfort.
Because of this, Petal will need a kind resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws.
As Petal has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to give her plenty of time and patience while she adjusts to her new surroundings and learns all the new things that come with home life.
Petal could share her home with older dog-savvy children aged 9 and over who can appreciate and understand that she will need a gentle, quiet introduction to the home, as well as her own space where she can settle in.
Petal arrived with a cyst on her right hip, which our vets have drained and will continue to monitor to make sure she remains comfortable.
Petal is such a happy and affectionate girl when she feels secure, and we hope that with the support of another dog and a loving family, she will carry that confidence into her new home and enjoy being the cuddly little lap dog she clearly wants to be.
She has a travel document.
