21-09-26 Opal is an extremely sweet soul who has come to us from a breeder. She can be a nervous lady when she first meets people, but once she has had some time to relax and get to know you, she will come over for a little sniff and start to show you more of her lovely personality. She is an inquisitive girl who is slowly learning that people can be kind and that she has nothing to be worried about.

We think that with some time spent in a loving home, Opal will really begin to find her paws and grow in confidence. She is such a sweet girl and we can imagine her becoming a wonderful companion once she has settled in and realised that she is safe. Her adopters will need to be patient and allow her to approach things at her own pace, celebrating the little steps she makes along the way.

Opal can live with older, dog-savvy teenagers aged 16+ who are sensible and understanding of the fact that she will need time to settle in. She will need at least one kind and confident resident dog in her new home that she can look to for reassurance and learn from as she gets used to home life.

Opal's adopters will need previous experience with larger breeds, and she will need a home with secure fencing of at least 6ft to keep her safe. She has never lived in a home before, so there will be lots for her to learn, including house training, walking on a lead and all of the new sights, sounds and routines that come with being part of a family. Her adopters will need to be kind and patient as she learns these new skills and gets used to her new surroundings.

Opal is a very sweet and gentle girl who just needs someone willing to give her the time she deserves. With patience, a loving home and a confident doggy friend by her side, we hope she will blossom into the wonderful companion we know she can be.
