  • Human family requirements

I can live with older children, aged 16+, who understand I need time to settle in.

  • Other pet requirements

I need a doggy friend in my new home. I haven’t met cats so I’m unsure.

  • House and garden requirements

I'd like a secure garden to potter around in.

  • Out and about requirements

I haven't tried walks yet, a secure garden will be fine for now.

  • Training needs

Please be patient with me, I haven’t lived in a home before

  • Medical issues

Please read below for more information.

17-09-26 Origami is a wonderful lady who is very curious. She has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start.

She adores her kennel friend and wanders around like her little shadow, taking lots of reassurance from having another dog around. Origami will not yet approach us and will run away if we get too close, so she will need a kind resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws.

As Origami has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training and the other basics of home life. Her adopters will need to be patient and understanding while she gets used to all the new experiences that come with living in a home. She can live with older, dog-savvy teens aged 16+ who understand her needs.

Origami loves her creature comforts and we can imagine her being very happy curled up in a cosy home, enjoying the warmth of a fire and all the little comforts that home life has to offer. We hope that with the support of a kind canine companion and patient adopters, she will slowly grow in confidence and discover just how lovely life can be.

Our vets noticed an arrhythmia during her heart check, although there is no heart murmur present, and this will be monitored as appropriate. Origami has had a seizure while in our care, and is being monitored by the vets for any future treatment that may be needed. Her new home will need to be able to support her regarding her medical issues and provide a safe home for her. She has had a hernia repaired at the time of her spay.

Origami has a travel document.
