Bailey
17-09-26 Bailey has come into our care from the police, and sadly we don't know anything about her history or what she has been through before arriving with us. What we do know, however, is that despite whatever life has thrown at her, Bailey is the most loving, happy and affectionate girl who is so deserving of a wonderful future.
Bailey is currently very underweight, which sadly tells us that she has been through a lot and has not had the care she deserves. She will need plenty of love, TLC and good food to help her regain her weight and get back to being the healthy, happy girl she should be. She absolutely adores fuss, attention and treats! She is so pleased to be around people and will happily soak up all the love you have to give.
Bailey is a confident girl and could be homed as an only dog, provided her adopters are around for most of the day as she loves having company. She could potentially be homed with another kind resident dog as long as they were around the same size as her. We would also consider a home with dog-savvy older children who are sensible.
Bailey loves to be around people and we feel that she may have some separation anxiety at first and may struggle with being left for long periods, so her owners will need to be around most of the day and able to gradually build up the time she is left to make sure she is comfortable.
She can be an only dog in the home, provided she gets plenty of attention, or she can live with a larger, and playful male resident dog who doesn't mind her bouncing around. She cannot live with female dogs, or small dogs.
We think Bailey may have lived in a home before, so she may already be house trained, although we cannot guarantee this. She knows her sit and down commands, which suggests she has had some training in her past.
It is heartbreaking to think about what Bailey may have endured, but she hasn't let it take away her wonderful spirit. She is ready to leave her past behind and start the next chapter of her life with a family who will show her just how loved she can be. We know she has so much love to give and we desperately want to find her the wonderful home she deserves.
If you can give Bailey the love, patience and care she needs to continue her journey back to full health, she could be the most wonderful addition to your family.
